Shakedown Promenade | The Chicago Dead Lot Has Gone VIP

Screen Shot 2015-06-18 at 9.25.39 AMHere's another unlikely event that has popped up in the orbit of the Soldier Field Dead shows.  This time stretching the term "VIP" to the absolute limits and possibly setting you back more than what you paid for your ticket to the show.

I venture that some people are looking forward to "The Lot" just as much as the shows.  Now somebody has packaged up the classic tailgate, put a price tag on it, and are selling their gussied up version as an "exclusive" experience.

The Chicago Shakedown VIP Tailgate Experience will be held in the Adler Planetarium Parking Lot (near Northerly Island entrance) and includes:

  • Grilled food
  • Craft Beer & Cocktails
  • Private bathrooms, shade and misting stations
  • Exclusive apparel featuring artwork by Stanley Mouse
  • Music and Entertainment

No word yet if VIP doses will be available on this Shakedown.

This can all be yours for the cost of $199 per day or $499 for a three day pass.  It's not clear if this is per vehicle or per person (though I strongly suspect per person).  Actually, it's not even clear wether you can actually park in this parking lot.  It seems geared towards high rollers who may be staying in nearby hotels without a vehicle.

We'll post more details when they become available.
