For the third night in a row -- this time the only one where he was actually on the bill -- Eddie Vedder joined members of The Who in the Chicago area. This show was a benefit for teens with cancer.
Roger Daltrey was actually in the house, and introduced the show, but was under doctor's orders to rest his voice on The Who's day off so he did not sing.
The show was began around 8:30 with a few tunes by Simon Townshend and was wrapped up in a little over 90 minutes with no encore. In celebrating the music of The Who, Vedder and Townshend welcomed guest appearances by Joan Jett (who is opening show's on The Who's tour), Joe Walsh and Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen for a nice selection of hits, covers and solo material.
Eddie, for his part, sported a Union Jack jacket before shedding it for the real rocking and ran down a version of Pearl Jam's "Better Man".
A few video highlights followed by the complete setlist and some photos by our friend Wyatt Brake.
