Jukely Concert-Going App Raises $8 Million In April, Launches In Chicago

Jukely, a new app that lets members attend an unlimited number of concerts for a monthly fee, appears to be growing quickly with help from outside investors.

Though Jukely first appeared in 2013, the app received more than $8 million from investors in April, according to recent reports. The additional funding will allow the company to hire more employees and expand their operations.

Jukely subscriptions are currently available in Chicago as well as nine other cities nationwide. For $25 a month, subscribers can attend any concert covered by the service, though users can’t get tickets through the app until three days before the show takes place. A premium account costs $45 a month and allows entry for two, as well as the opportunity to attend multiple concerts in a day.

The application includes a social media aspect, allowing users to check in and meet up at the concerts they select.

Though the app isn’t intended to get users into sold out shows or high-demand performances, Jukely appears to be especially advantageous to participating cities’ local music scenes.

While no service like this can zero in on exactly one person's musical taste, in Chicago, the service is offering entry to shows at well-known and diversely programmed venues like House Of Blues and City Winery.  The list of artists provided a by the service represents national acts across a wide variety of genres.  As the platform grows, it wouldn't be surprising to see live music junkies that follow a particular scene to find some good value here, particularly if you tend to gravitate towards undersold or mid-week shows.
