Chicago Area Theaters For 2015 Grateful Dead Meetup at the Movies [May 4th]

This is the fifth spring in a row that Deadheads will gather in movie theaters across the country... but this year's event may be a little extra special for those of us in the Chicago area.

First, the featured show is an Alpine Valley show of relatively recent vintage (July 19, 1989).  I bet there are quite a few reading this who were actually at this show and will have a chance to relive it on the big screen, in spectacular HD and with top notch sound.

Second, this event comes just two months before Phil, Bob, Mickey and Billy will say goodbye to all of this at Soldier Field.  From the last show ever at Alpine to the last show ever in the span of about sixty days.  Kind of poetic.  And if there's one thing we can say about that venture... it's been subject to a little hype.  It's a recipe for some excitement.

The show will begin at 7:00 and run approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
