Who: The Barr Brothers
What: A 30-minute session for Seattle’s KEXP
You Need To Know: The Barr Brothers, consisting of a permanent lineup that features two members of The Slip and harpist Sarah Page, recently released the excellent Queens of the Breakers. Joined by a bassist and additional guitarist, the band stopped by KEXP for a recording session that heavily featured this new material. Despite sticking to a classic folk-rock sound, the band’s incredible musicianship and explorative songwriting takes their songs to the next level, making this a mesmerizing, inspiring session to watch.
