Jim James Joins JRAD For Jane's Addiction Cover and More at Lockn'

Joe Russo's Almost Dead pretty much owns the late night scene at Lockn' festival.   But they made room for one of last year's mainstage superstars, Jim James, who joined for a portion of their show late night on Friday.

After Russo appeared at his solo set earlier in the day, James returned the favor by stepping out for an unlikely, but just exactly perfect cover of Jane's Addiction's "Been Caught Stealing".

Here's video captured by rdeal1999.

UPDATE 9/12:  The full pro-set set is now on YouTube.  I hope it sticks around.

He then stayed around for some Grateful Dead, "Brown-Eyed Women" and the encore which was also performed with Nicole Atkins, the classic show-closer "Brokedown Palace".  Atkins had previously joined the band for "Little Red Rooster" and "Cassidy".  We anxiously await recordings of those.
